Fresh Summer Tour by Getaround feat. GoMore #Estonia

This summer, Getaround and GoMore are launching the Fresh Summer Tour: a series of Nordic destinations to unlock if you’re looking for fresh air, cooler temperatures, and new landscapes to explore.
If you missed the news, Getaround has joined GoMore, one of Europe’s leading car-sharing platforms. We’re now part of the same team, which means you can rent cars locally with GoMore in countries where Getaround wasn’t previously available, including Denmark, Sweden, Finland, and Estonia.
And that gave us an idea for summer ☀️
Welcome to the Fresh Summer Tour by Getaround & GoMore
The Fresh Summer Tour is a collection of Nordic destinations to discover this summer if you’re looking to escape the heat and enjoy a different kind of road trip.
The concept is simple: one week, one Nordic destination, and one road trip made possible with a GoMore rental car.
This week, we’re making our final stop: Estonia 🇪🇪
*Offer valid for new GoMore users only, one-time use, for bookings in Estonia until September 1st.
Where to Go on a Road Trip in Estonia This Summer

Estonia is the smallest country featured in our Fresh Summer Tour, with around 1.36 million inhabitants, but it ticks every box for an unforgettable road trip: Tallinn, forests, bogs, waterfalls, islands and the Baltic coastline.
Fun fact: Estonia is one of the most digitally connected countries in Europe, but also one of the best places to truly disconnect.
Tallinn: Medieval Old Town and Telliskivi Creative City

Tallinn is the perfect starting point for discovering Estonia’s creative side.
In the Telliskivi Creative City district, former factories have been transformed into galleries, cafés, restaurants, independent boutiques and colourful street art. Just a few minutes away, you’ll find the medieval Old Town, local markets and even urban beaches.

💡 Our tip: Start your day in Telliskivi, leave time for an exhibition at Fotografiska, then hit the road towards Lahemaa National Park to see how quickly Tallinn gives way to forests, manor houses and charming fishing villages.
🚗 Recommended starting point: Rent a car in Tallinn and drive to Lahemaa National Park (around 70 km, approximately 50 minutes to 1 hour).
Pärnu: Beaches, Spas and Baltic Summer Vibes

Pärnu is Estonia’s summer capital, a place to slow down, swim, enjoy spa treatments, stroll along the seaside promenade and spend lazy afternoons hopping between cafés.
In July, the Pärnu Music Festival (8–18 July 2026) adds a cultural touch to this relaxed beach destination.
💡 Our tip: Plan the perfect Baltic summer day: beach in the morning, spa or sauna in the afternoon, then finish with a concert or a drink on a terrace. Simple, but that’s exactly what makes Pärnu so special.
🚗 Recommended starting point: Rent a car in Tallinn and drive to Pärnu (around 130 km, approximately 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours).
Saaremaa: Wild Island, Ferry Ride and Slow Road Trip

Saaremaa is the island to add to your itinerary if you’re looking for a real sense of adventure.
After taking the ferry, you’ll discover a slower side of Estonia: quiet roads, windmills, cliffs, villages, saunas, beaches and the charming island capital, Kuressaare.
In July, the I Land Sound Festival (16–19 July 2026), held on nearby Illiku Islet, brings together music, art and spectacular sunsets.
💡 Our tip: Stop in Orissaare to see its famous football pitch built around a giant oak tree. It’s a quick, slightly quirky stop that you’ll definitely remember before continuing towards Kuressaare or the coastline.
🚗 Recommended starting point: Rent a car in Tallinn and drive to Virtsu (around 135 km, approximately 1 hour 45 minutes), then take the ferry to Muhu and Saaremaa. Once on the island, allow around 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes to reach Kuressaare.
Kihnu: Traditional Island, Cycling and UNESCO Heritage

Listed as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage site, Kihnu is the most unique stop of the journey.
This small island is best explored slowly by bike, between peaceful beaches, colourful houses, local handicrafts, traditional music and a culture that remains deeply rooted in everyday life.
During summer, the island also hosts local celebrations, workshops, concerts and community events, so it’s worth checking the calendar before you go.

💡 Our tip: Leave your car on the mainland and explore Kihnu by bicycle. It’s the best way to experience the island at its own pace, stopping whenever a colourful house, beach, museum or harbour catches your eye.
🚗 Recommended starting point: Rent a car in Pärnu and drive to Munalaid Harbour (around 45 km, approximately 40–45 minutes). From there, take the ferry to Kihnu and continue your adventure by bike.
Viljandi: Folk Festival, Lake Views and Local Culture

Viljandi is the perfect stop for combining local culture, lakeside scenery and festival vibes.
This small, green and incredibly photogenic town is known for its castle ruins, suspension bridges and beautiful lake views.
Every summer, the Viljandi Folk Music Festival (23–26 July 2026) transforms the town into one of Estonia’s liveliest cultural gatherings.

💡 Our tip: Viljandi has an amazing summer atmosphere, with concerts, workshops, local food stalls and a much younger, livelier energy than most visitors expect.
🚗 Recommended starting point: Rent a car in Tallinn and drive to Viljandi (around 160 km, approximately 2 to 2 hours 15 minutes). From Pärnu, the journey takes around 1 hour 15 minutes.
