First, make sure your team member has downloaded the Getaround app and verified their profile. Then, follow these steps:
Use the standard search on the web. Only cars with instant booking can be booked for a team member. An instant booking filter is available.
Choose a mileage package and continue, you’ll arrive on the payment page.
Start typing your team member’s name in the Select driver field.
Note: you can book for yourself by typing your own name. Choose your personal or professional profile depending on your use case.
Once you select an eligible driver:
Select Confirm and pay.
After the booking is created:
If a driver can’t be selected, you’ll see a message explaining why. Below is a simplified explanation of each possible case, the cause, and what to do.
Cause: Missing birth date in the driver’s profile.
Solution: Ask the driver to update their profile.
Cause: Driver is younger than the legal minimum or insurance category requirement.

Cause: Driver doesn’t meet the minimum licence age.

Cause: One or more mandatory fields are missing.
Solution: Ask the driver to update and verify their profile.
High-value cars have very strict insurance conditions, and this driver doesn’t meet them.
Solution: try to find a car with a lower insurance category. Usually, city cars with a few years have the lowest insurance category.
Cause: This user might have breached our terms of service in the past.
Solution: Contact Customer Support.
Cause: The rental starts too soon for the required automated or manual vetting.
Solution: Adjust the start time to allow more lead time or ask the driver to complete vetting beforehand.
Cause: The driver already has a rental or a pending booking request overlapping the dates you’ve selected.
Solution: Change the dates to avoid any overlap.
If the error isn’t listed or the driver still can’t be selected, contact us.
