Guide to toll charges

Payment of toll during your rental is at your charge, however tolls are directly billed by the tolling authorities to the owner of the car.

You will be charged for tolls once the owner has uploaded documentation for your tolls. When the money has been charged, you will receive an updated receipt. If necessary, you can request documentation for the owner's tolls.

The full amount of your toll payment is reimbursed to the owner.

Getaround will apply a 10% fee on the toll amount to cover development and operational costs, such as customer support.

Free-flow Aliae highway in France

This highway is barrier-free, therefore there is no physical barrier to entry or exit. If you are traveling in a free-flow highway, it’s your responsibility to make the payment via one of following payment options:

• Through this website or,

• The payment machines that can be found at rest and service areas along the highway

In case of non-payment of the toll, the owner is subject to a fine, which will be debited to you in addition to the penalty fee.
