By renting out their car on Getaround, an owner commits to ensuring their car is safe and in good condition. While Getaround can’t check every single car manually, we do insist that our partners meet certain requirements:
Your safety is our priority, so you’ll be able to review the car and the owner after your trip. We immediately remove any car that is reported unsafe by one of our users.

What should you do if you find a tracking device in the car at the start, or during your rental?
For the safety, privacy, and comfort of all of our drivers, AirTags and any form of tracking device are strictly prohibited in all cars listed on Getaround. We take this policy very seriously and investigate every report thoroughly.
You should contact our Customer Support team immediately to report the issue, and take a photo of the device as proof.
